Regular and Irregular Verbs-Past Tense

Regular verbs follow a predictable pattern.
To make the past tense and past participle, you simply add -ed (or just -d if the verb ends in “e”) to the base form.

Irregular Verbs:

Irregular verbs do not follow the regular -ed rule.
